Join us for our first new shooter mounted shooting clinic in Middle Georgia.  Courtney Chapman, our clinician,  has been competing in Cowboy Mounted Shooting for years.  She is a Ladies Level 6 competitor (highest achievement level) and has trained many shooters who are nationally competitive.  Cowboy mounted shooting is a competitive sport where the rider and horse must navigate a pattern and shoot at 10 targets.  Competitors use two single action .45 revolvers loaded with black powder blanks to break balloon targets.  Mounted shooting requires skill in both horsemanship and shooting.  Competitors over the age of 12 are required to shoot at the targets.  However our lil riders 12 and under are not left out.  These riders are wranglers and are taught gun safety and how to navigate courses without having to shoot at targets.  This clinic is designed to introduce mounted shooting in a safe, fun, laid back atmosphere.  Participants can bring their own horse to safely and gently start the gun exposure process or use one of ours.  All the gear and equipment will be provided.  Since this is our first clinic, the schedule may change depending on interest.  New shooters 12 and over will participate from 9:00am - 1:00pm.  We will take a break for lunch (not provided, please bring your own snacks/drinks and lunch).  From 2:00pm - 4:00pm we will let our lil riders, 11 and under have a chance to participate in our wrangler clinic.
