About the event
The Equine Health and Emergency First Aid Course includes materials, education, hands on practice, certificate of completion, and lunch. Topics covered will include what your vet needs to know, how to condition a horse to accept treatment, how to take vitals, how to deal with various wounds, colic, choke, collapse, shock, hoof issues, how to recognize pain, pain source identification, spinal health, injury prevention and more. If you are around horses then this class is for you!! All attendees will receive a certificate of completion, a first aid manual, and the course earns you professional development credits with various organizations. This class is also a pre-requisite to the advanced courses we may add in the future. Cost is $200/per person
